The Women’s Storytelling Salon was co-founded by Irene Ohler and Nandini Oomman in Hanoi in 2014.

Three words describe the purpose of the Salon:

Celebration, Conversation, and Inspiration.

We celebrate women's diverse accomplishments, and want to inspire deep conversations and purposeful action through storytelling.

In the tradition of the gatherings in European Salons of the 19th century we want to create a place where women of different nationalities, generations, professional backgrounds can connect and get inspired by authentic stories of triumphs and trials.

Each Salon session features two storytellers who share their stories of triumphs and trials, with the founding curator, Irene Ohler, guiding the conversation and Q&A with the Salon participants.

Each Salon is also a great chance to mix and mingle with a range of other interesting, inspiring women.

Our Salons operate on a regular basis in Hanoi, and in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
